Hillsbury Burials - near Fisher, Illinois
Submitted by M. Carter I have pictures of 4 Hillsbury gravemarkers that were taken in an old cemetery near Fisher. I took the pictures several years ago because I was impressed that each person's name was spelled a different way. All these stones stand side by side:
- Harmon Hillsberey - died Jan. 1 1861 (Harmon's stone is standing but has a large chip. There is a weeping willow tree with some sort of animal under it as a picture on the stone.)
- Ike Hilsbury - 1865-1943 (Grey granite stone lies flat, it was never made to stand upright.)
- Malinda J. Hillsberry - died Apr. 28, 1833 Aged 22Y's 7 M's (Malinda's stone stands upright on a base of what looks like the same material as the stone. It is in very good condition.
- Samuel G. Hillbary - no other information on the stone (Samuel's stone is red granite and sits on a concrete base. It is in very good condition.)
