Champaign County Forest Preserve District Museum of the Grand Prairie - collects objects, books, papers, and photographs pertaining to the history of east central Illinois and Champaign County, particularly as it relates to the cultural and natural history of the area. Our collecrting period dates to 50 years before present.
Champaign County Historical Archives, Urbana Free Library - The collection includes various printed materials, including books and periodicals, vital records and case files, newspapers, direcctories (city directories; phoe books; and criss-cross directories), maps, organizational records and personal papers.
Homer Community Library - Collection includes microfilm of old local cemetery records, taped itgerviews with older residents, and newspapers, transcripts of those interviews, and published materials, and a few videotapes.
Illinois State Archaeological Survey - Archives and artifacts relating to Illinois archaeology for the past 90 years. On-line catalogs are: Illinois Historic Bridges, Cahokia docuents and artifacts, and the Illinois Archaeological Records Repository.
Illinois State Geological Survey - Holdings include original field notes on Illinois geology, original geologic work maps, photographs, original mine aps, and lantern slides. The Geological Records Unit (GRU) is the state repository for drilling records as mandated by statute.
Octave Chanute Aerospace Museum Foundation - The Chanute Air Museum collects, preserves, exhibits and interprets aviation and aerospace artifacts. Special emphasis is directed to the life and accomplishments of Octave Chanute, Chanute Field⁄Chanute Air Foarce Base and its technical training programs, the history of Illinois aviation, and the community of Rantoul, Illinois.

Preservation and Conservation Association - Collection includes photographs of area buildings in both black and white and color slides. Print material deposited with Champaign County Historical Archives except for building survey.
University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Illinois History and Lincoln Collections - The collections consist of printed and manuscript materials that support research in local and state history and in the field of Lincoln studies and contain approximately 24,000 volumes, 1,800 cubic feet of manuscripts, and a large number of maps, broadsides, prints and photographs, artifacts, and ephemera.
University of Illinois at Urbana-Chapaign, The Kolb-Proust Archive for Research - Archives hgolds the research notes and docuentation of Philip Kolb, professor of French at the University of Illinois and editor of the corrrespondence of Marcel Proust.
University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, The Rare Book and Manuscript Room - The Rare Book and Manuscript Library is the principal repository for early manuscripts and rare books and for literary manuscripts in the broad fields of literature, history, art, theology, technology, and the natural sciences.
University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, The Sousa Archives and Center for American Music - The Sousa Archives acquires and preserves sigificant archival records and historical artifacts in multiple media formats that document America's local and national music history and its diverse cultures.
University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, University Archives - The University Archives is a major center for research and learning. It is a unifying influence on campus and includes more than 23,000 cubic feet of records, publications, and faculty⁄alumni papers relating to the University and the Urbana-Champaign campus. It also holds major research resources such as the American Library Association Archives, the Advertising Council Archives, the National Panhellenic Conference Archives, and the records of more than 35 other professional societies.
