Lineages - Jasper Calvin Ricketts

Jasper Calvin Ricketts served in Company E, 80th Ohio Infantry (volunteers). Upon his discharge in 1865 he came to Clay County, Illinois to join the rest of his family. He later married in Clay County and lived there for a few years until he relocated with his family to Champaign County, Illinois. He lived in the Pesotum-area for the balance of his life and is buried in Pesotum. His son, Dr. Marion Ricketts, was a noted physician in Champaign County and a biographical sketch has been published about him in a County publication.
