St. Joseph - Lloyd F. Curtis, 53, rural St. Joseph, died at 9:10 a.m. Saturday (Dec. 3, 1966) at Burnham City Hospital, Champaign.
Prayer services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Freese Funeral Home, St. Joseph. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Immanuel Baptist Church, Rantoul, with Rev. Green, Pastor, and Rev. James Kidd officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens, Champaign.
He was born May 25, 1913 in Scott County, son of James F. and Jessie Curtis. He married Anna Mae Walsh on Nov. 13, 1948 at Rantoul.
(They really got married in Pocahontas, Randolph County, Arkansas.)
Surviving are his wife; his mother of Springfield; two sons, Ronald and John; and four daughters, Rebecca, Cheryl, Jean and Mary, all at home; three sisters, Mrs. Lucy Meyer of Jacksonville, Mrs. Helen Arnold of Loami, and Mrs. Margaret Mitchell of Jacksonville; and three brothers, Dale of Mattoon, Donald of Lebanon, Mo., and Paul of Waukegan.
He was a member of the St. Joseph Baptist Mission, and was superintendent and deacon of the church. He was a member of the Farm Bureau and had worked for the Champaign County Feed Co. for 10 years. He was an Insurance salesman at the time of his death.
